Privacy Policy for Framee

Framee ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Framee mobile application (the "App"), a social networking service that lets users share photos and text posts, comment, like, follow other users, and receive notifications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Framee, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Account information — email address, username, and password (passwords are stored securely and hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
Profile information — display name, bio, website, and profile photo.
Content — photos, captions, comments, and other content you create.

Information collected automatically:

Device & push token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver push notifications.
Usage & analytics data — in-app interactions, via Firebase Analytics.
Crash data — diagnostic information via Firebase Crashlytics.
Language preference — your selected app language.

Camera and photo library: The App requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to upload a profile picture or create a post with an image. We do not access your media without your action.

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account;
Display your profile and content to other users according to your privacy settings;
Deliver push notifications (e.g. likes, comments, follows);
Operate core social features (feed, search, follow, comments, likes, saved posts);
Monitor, debug, and improve the App's performance and stability;
Protect against fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

With other users — your public profile, posts, comments, and interactions are visible to other users. If your account is private, your posts are visible only to approved followers.
Service providers — Supabase (authentication, database, file storage); Google Firebase (push notifications, analytics, crash reporting); Google Sign-In (optional authentication). Each provider processes data only to provide services to us.
Legal reasons — if required by law or valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, and associated personal data are removed from our active systems. Some information may persist in backups or logs for a limited period, or where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights and Choices

How to delete your account:

Open the Framee app
Go to Settings (bottom navigation bar)
Tap Delete Account
Confirm deletion

This permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, and all personal data from our active systems. Some data may persist in backups for a limited period as required by law.

Access & update — edit your profile information anytime in the App.
Delete your account — permanently delete it from Settings → Delete Account.
Push notifications — turn them on or off in Settings or device settings.
Privacy mode — make your account private so only approved followers see your posts.

6. Children's Privacy

Framee is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and database row-level security so users can only access data they are authorized to see. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
